Ring Roads - Edmonton & Calgary
Within the corridor, the Province has planned for freeway standard roadways to alleviate the heavy goods and services traffic from the city's highway network. In Edmonton, this is Anthony Henday Drive (Highway 216) and Stoney Trail (Highway 201) in Calgary.
The southwest, southeast, and northwest portions of Anthony Henday Drive are completed. They used both conventional (SW) delivery and public-private partnership (P3) delivery (SE/NW). Currently, Anthony Henday Drive Northeast is being constructed using the P3 model. The northwest portion of Stoney Trail was constructed using conventional means. The northeast and southeast Stoney Trail were both constructed under the P3 delivery.
